Yoshio “Kuro” Kurosaki

Kuro is the President and CEO of Summit Properties with nearly 30 years of experience running privately held industrial real estate investments. At Summit, Kuro’s responsibilities include portfolio management, real estate financing, property management, budgeting, tenant improvements, real estate development, acquisitions, lease transactions and negotiations, project management and due diligence. Kuro was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan and graduated from Waseda University with a BA in Business. After working as a product manager of Japanese operations for a US licensing business, he moved to Portland, OR in 1987. Kuro is very active in the philanthropic community of Portland, and has served as chair of the Japan America Society of Oregon, President of the Portland – Sapporo Sister City Association, Vice President of the Portland Japanese Garden and board member of PNCA and the PSU Center for Japanese Studies, among others.
