Property Description: Macadam Landing is a Class A retail center in the John’s Landing neighborhood of Southwest Portland. This building is divisible into 6 spaces. The property is currently 100% leased to three long-term tenants: NW Framing (4,430 square feet), Massage Envy (2,739 square feet), and Macadam Floor & Design (5,171 square feet).
Notes: This building was originally developed as an industrial service center/headquarters of a regional roofing contractor in the 1960s. The building was vacated and leased to a local custom frame store chain in the mid-1970s. Summit acquired the building in the early 1980s and originally kept the property as warehouse/retail building for the framing chain. In 2008, Summit redeveloped the property, leaving only the foundation and frame of the building and turning it into a new multi-tenant retail center along with the help of Jeff Stuhr and Holst Architecture. The $2.4 million redevelopment project, now known as Macadam Landing Shopping Mall, is one of the iconic retail centers of the changing neighborhood.
